We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Real Estate Landlord/Tenant law. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on eviction, collection, and real estate litigation matters. Responsibilities
- Represent landlords and tenants in eviction proceedings and other landlord/tenant disputes.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
- Negotiate and draft residential and commercial leases.
- Handle all aspects of real estate litigation cases from inception through conclusion.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
- Advise clients about their legal rights and responsibilities.
- Collect outstanding debts on behalf of clients.
- Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to real estate and landlord/tenant law.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of attorneys and support staff.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in real estate law, with a focus on landlord/tenant matters.
- Proven experience in eviction, collection, and real estate litigation.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of cases and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
