Real Estate Associate Attorney
Location: Stuart, FL (On-site position only)
Responsibilities:
- Contract Review and Negotiation: The attorney drafts, reviews, and negotiates purchase agreements to ensure that the legal rights of their clients are protected and that all terms are clear and enforceable.
- Title Examination and Clearance: Conducting thorough title searches to verify ownership and identify any encumbrances or liens. They resolve title issues to ensure that the property can be legally transferred.
- Acting as an Escrow Agent: The attorney manages the escrow process, holding deposits, deeds, and other critical documents until all contractual obligations are fulfilled by both parties.
- Coordinating Closing: Overseeing all aspects of the closing process, including preparing closing statements, ensuring that funds are properly distributed, and confirming that all legal documents (such as deeds, mortgage agreements, and title policies) are correctly executed and recorded.
- Compliance with Legal Requirements: Ensuring that the transaction complies with state and federal real estate laws, which can include filing documents with the appropriate government agencies and securing title insurance.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication with all parties involved, and a proactive approach to resolving any issues that may arise during the transaction
Technical Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of residential and commercial property sale/purchase transactions, including clearing title requirements, reviewing surveys, timely recording of transaction documents, and finalizing title policies.
- Familiarity with local and regional real estate attorney and realtor networks, particularly in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
- Proficient in managing Closers Choice real estate software, including generating and analyzing reports.

Compensation:
- Base salary of $80K-$120K plus monthly commissions: On average, around $120K-$150K/annually, all in.
- Employer covers CLE requirements necessary to maintain licensure to practice law in Florida.
- 120 hours (3 weeks) of paid vacation per year.
- 40 hours (1 week) of paid sick leave per year, as needed.
- 12 paid holidays per year.
- Health plan, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, with 75% of the employees premium covered by the employer.
