A well-established boutique law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney with experience in plaintiff or defense employment litigation to join its reputable team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and experience managing all aspects of litigation through resolution or up to trial. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside senior attorneys on complex employment and class action cases, while providing high-quality legal services to clients and advocating for employee rights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and retaliation.
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court, during depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and offer support for complex litigation.
- Manage cases from initiation through resolution with a focus on attention to detail and exceptional client service.
Qualifications and Skills:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- 2-4 years of experience in managing all aspects of litigation, preferably with a focus on California employment law (plaintiff or defense).
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in drafting motions, discovery documents, and other legal filings.
- Proven ability to effectively manage cases and client relationships.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- California Bar membership in good standing.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote team environment.
