Position Title: Associate Attorney - Personal Injury/Municipality
Reports To: Supervising Attorney
Position: Full Time; Salary Exempt
Supervisor Role: No
Overall Descriptions of the Position:
An associate attorney at The Gori Law Firm files legal complaints, offers legal advice, prepares legal documents and represents clients.
Position Requirements:
1-5 years of experience in personal injury, worker's compensation, municipal law or related field preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Self-motivated and well-organized
Ability to problem solve and strategize
Compassion for helping clients
Adaptable and responsive to client needs based on health status
Position Duties (including, but not limited to):
Assist Supervising Attorney with case work up and motions
Conduct client and witness interviews to obtain and evaluate information
Depose witnesses and clients
Appear in court as needed
Assist with Plaintiff's discovery preparation
Assist in returning and responding to client and defense counsel communication
Review and analyze medical records and bills
Legal Research
Delegate assignments to team paralegals and legal assistants
Education, Certificates and Licenses:
Licensed to practice Law in the State of Illinois
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
