Our law firm is seeking a seasoned associate attorney to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to work on a variety of legal issues, primarily focusing on landlord-tenant disputes, commercial litigation, and civil litigation. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with a team of experienced attorneys and paralegals, handle a diverse caseload, and represent clients in various legal proceedings.
Responsibilities:
As an Associate Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in court or before government agencies.
2. Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, contracts, and deeds.
3. Conducting legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
4. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in landlord-tenant disputes and commercial litigation matters.
5. Advising clients on their legal rights and responsibilities.
6. Developing relationships with clients and working closely with them to understand their needs and objectives.
7. Collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments.
8. Staying up-to-date with changes in the law and informing colleagues and clients of significant developments that may affect their cases.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have:
1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with substantial experience in landlord-tenant law, commercial litigation, and civil litigation.
4. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
5. Strong negotiation skills.
6. The ability to handle a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
8. A commitment to ethical conduct and maintaining client confidentiality.
9. The ability to work independently, but also collaboratively as part of a team.
