Overview:

Our law firm, located in Mount Prospect, IL, is seeking an experienced and driven Associate Attorney to join our team. We are looking for an attorney with 3-4 years of litigation experience in the areas of business, banking, and commercial litigation. Experience in both plaintiff and defense work is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to approach complex legal issues with a solutions-oriented mindset—understanding that litigation is not always the best path forward, and knowing how to creatively solve problems for our clients.

This is an on-site position with a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and litigate cases in business, banking, and commercial law.
• Handle a wide range of legal matters, including contract disputes, banking litigation, and corporate governance issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Work with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and solutions for clients.
• Provide practical legal advice and counsel to clients, focusing on effective problem-solving.
• Maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs, and offering strategic advice.
• Ensure adherence to timelines and litigation procedures.

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of litigation experience in business, banking, and commercial law.
• Plaintiff and/or defense experience is preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset, with a focus on finding creative and practical solutions for clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Active Bar admission in Illinois.
