Worker’s Compensation Attorney

Our client, a prominent law firm with a strong focus on worker’s compensation law, is seeking a dedicated and driven Worker’s Compensation Attorney to join their Virginia team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated attorney to grow their career in a firm known for its client-centric approach and commitment to excellence in advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of worker’s compensation claims from inception to resolution.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to worker’s compensation cases.
• Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and appeals before the Worker’s Compensation Commission.
• Conduct case research and provide strategic legal counsel to clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategy and legal planning.
• Minimum billable hours requirement of 1850 annually.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience handling worker’s compensation matters or relevant litigation experience.
• Bar licensed in Virginia, in good standing.
• Residency in Herndon, Virginia, or a willingness to relocate to the area.
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
