A highly regarded business law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their Employment Law team. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of litigation experience and a strong interest in expanding their practice in employment law. Job Responsibilities:
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and pre-trial proceedings.
- Counsel clients on various employment law issues, including wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, and compliance matters.
- Manage and oversee case files, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
- Assist in developing policies, compliance training, and handling pre-litigation disputes.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters and case strategy.
- Stay updated on current employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of litigation experience in employment law.
- Strong academic background with a proven ability to perform at a high level.
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with employment law, including wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, and discrimination.
- Experience with case management, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- California State Bar membership in good standing.
