Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on labor and employment laws, regulations, and precedents.
- Stay abreast of recent developments in labor and employment law to provide timely and accurate advice.
- Provide legal counsel to clients on labor and employment matters, including but not limited to employment contracts, workplace policies, and compliance issues.
- Assist clients in resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including employment contracts, severance agreements, and employee handbooks.
- Prepare and file legal documents in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Represent clients in labor and employment-related litigation proceedings.
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents for court proceedings, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and responsiveness.
- Provide strategic legal advice to help clients achieve their business objectives while managing legal risks.
- Conduct training sessions for clients on employment law compliance and best practices.
- Keep clients informed about changes in labor and employment laws that may impact their operations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar and in good standing.
- 1+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Litigation experience in labor and employment matters is a plus.
