Job Details
We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Associate Attorney to join our esteemed legal firm. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of employment litigation and labor matters. The successful candidate will be involved in representing both private and public employers in various labor arbitrations, NLRB litigation, and other traditional labor matters. The role also includes providing positive employee relations training, handling individual and class claims, and dealing with a variety of employment law issues.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal representation to clients in employment litigation matters involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, defamation, and more.
2. Handle labor arbitrations and NLRB litigation, representing both private and public employers.
3. Provide positive employee relations training to help our clients foster a healthy and compliant work environment.
4. Conduct comprehensive research on various legal matters, interpret laws, rulings, and regulations, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
5. Manage all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
6. Handle both individual and class claims, providing robust representation to our clients and ensuring their rights are protected.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing legal advice accordingly.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in employment law and national labor relations.
Qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment litigation and labor matters.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Proven experience in handling labor arbitrations, NLRB litigation, and traditional labor matters.
5. Demonstrated experience in dealing with both individual and class claims.
6. Excellent research skills and the ability to interpret and apply laws, rulings, and regulations.
7. Strong experience in representing both private and public employers.
8. Solid knowledge of employment law issues including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, and defamation.
9. Ability to handle cases in federal and state courts.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly.
11. Strong interpersonal skills with a client-centered focus.
