We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our established Family Law practice. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding family law cases. The ideal candidate will have a passion for family law, a dedication to client service, and a commitment to professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Associate Attorney - Family Law, you will:
1. Handle a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, mediation, pre-and post-nuptial agreements, and more.
2. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including pleadings, motions, agreements, and court orders.
4. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
5. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand their rights, options, and the potential outcomes of different strategies.
6. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and outstanding service.
7. Collaborate effectively with our team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
8. Stay up-to-date on changes in family law legislation and case law, and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing family law, with a focus on divorce and mediation.
4. Proven litigation experience, including representing clients in court, conducting depositions, and negotiating settlements.
5. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and negotiate effectively with opposing counsel.
7. A commitment to ethical legal practice and maintaining client confidentiality.
8. The ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
9. Experience with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
