Job Description:
Chicago Law Firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 4-5 years of experience in construction litigation to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing skills and a strong background in handling construction-related legal matters.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in construction litigation cases.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice.
- Attend and conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
- Prepare for and participate in trials and arbitration hearings.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and manage case files.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Illinois.
- 4-5 years of experience in construction litigation.
- Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle a high caseload and work independently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Team player with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
