Are you passionate about civil litigation and employment law? Do you have a knack for research writing and advocacy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and detail-oriented Permanent Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation) to join our legal team. This is a unique chance to work on complex and high-profile cases, in a hybrid work environment that accommodates both in-office and remote work. If you are a member of the Connecticut bar, with the New York bar being a plus, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation), you will be expected to:
1. Handle a wide variety of civil litigation cases, with a focus on employment law.
2. Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft compelling legal documents.
3. Represent clients in court, arguing motions, depositions, and trials.
4. Provide legal advice to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
5. Collaborate with our team of attorneys to develop effective legal strategies.
6. Continually update knowledge on changes in laws and legal practices.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation) position must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Connecticut Bar is required; admission to the New York Bar is a plus.
3. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on employment law is a plus.
4. Exceptional research writing and advocacy skills.
5. Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload.
6. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice.
9. High level of professionalism and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
