Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our high-performing team. This role will focus primarily on employment law, legal research, litigation, and plaintiff's litigation, with a specialization in workplace injury. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in these areas and will be expected to handle complex legal matters, provide sound legal advice, and represent our clients with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
2. Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters, focusing primarily on employment law and workplace injury.
3. Prepare and draft various legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts, and legal memoranda.
4. Develop and manage relationships with clients, ensuring their legal rights are protected and their needs are met.
5. Engage in plaintiff's litigation, devising strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an attempt to resolve cases favorably and efficiently.
7. Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to share knowledge, brainstorm solutions, and ensure client satisfaction.
8. Stay current with changes in the law through continued education and professional growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing in California
3. Minimum of 1 years of experience in employment law, legal research, litigation, and plaintiff's litigation, with a focus on workplace injury.
4. Exceptional research and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze large amounts of data, determine relevancy, and draw appropriate conclusions.
5. Proven experience in client representation in court and negotiation of settlements.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in an understandable manner.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
8. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
