Maximus is seeking an Associate Analyst to join our team. This is a remote position that will support the Department of Education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform operations research to qualify new opportunities, including analysis of project data, financial forecast, documented requirements, current customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, and staff strengths and weaknesses.
- Participate in meetings with customers (internal and external), clients, and teammates to develop insight on requirements, operations strategy, partnership opportunities, and contract tracking and development.
- Assist with program development during start up and for selected ongoing operations and provide detailed reports on activities to operation senior staff, division managers, and program managers.
- Actively participate in the overall strategic planning by linking project-specific activities with broader needs across the division Interacts routinely with all levels of operation and group management, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers, and follow through on tasking.
- Conduct after action reviews for all operations staff to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to technique, strategy, and actions.
- Develop and implement modeling and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities.
- Conduct statistical analyses and evaluate a wide variety of information to assess operational difficulties and develop solutions to complex problems, including escalated issues.
- Design and implement process improvements that enhance customer service and optimize business operational efficiency and quality.
- Create, analyze and deliver customized reporting for both internal and external audiences.
- Develop high-quality communications suitable for clients.
- Additional Requirements as per contract/client:
Knowledge of CLASS system is preferred
Excel Knowledge is preferred
Must reside in the U.S.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans.
Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearance. Final suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of Education.
Obtaining and Maintaining a PIV-I card is a requirement of this position. PIV-I cards must be picked up in person. New and existing employees may need to travel via car, train, or plane to a designated location to pick up their new or replacement PIV-I card. Any travel expenses will be paid for by Maximus.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 0-3 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Primary Duties:
- Primary job function is dedicated to the on-going 2-year letter maintenance and communications project to ensure compliance and adherence to regulations.
- Work directly with business areas to maintain and revise communications in a fast-paced environment.
- Accurately navigate the Customer Communications Approval Process working with assigned business area contacts.
- Exercises discretion and best practices to create/modify effective communications.
- Update reports to track changes, project status, and implementation of correspondence projects.

- Maintain and grow contacts throughout Aidvantage focusing on subject matter experts.
- Consistent adherence to quality and compliance.
- Limited travel may be required.
Additional Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience working in the financial service/ marketing or communications demonstrating leadership skills required
- Minimum 1 year of student loan experience or equivalent year of experience in a Project Coordinator / Communications role required
- Experience leading projects and interacting with all levels of management required
- Strong working knowledge of Excel on other Microsoft Office products.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
