Job Summary
Under direction and guidance of brand marketing leadership, act as the category leader for 1-2 assigned product lines managing the product development and portfolio activities – leading the development of marketing, innovation and product commercialization. Work closely with product managers and brand marketers to help drive company profitability growth.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of go-to-market strategic plans in conjunction with brand marketing lead for a portfolio of 1-2 lines across the retail business unit including developing and marketing new product categories, sales channels, and pricing strategies.
- Work with digital team, creative services, external resources and brand marketing team to develop marketing tools and campaigns for selling across ecommerce and retail brick-and-mortar stores.
- Interpret category data, consumer insights and segment trends to identify product and competitive strengths and weaknesses, identify growth opportunities and defense strategies as needed.
- Utilize primary and secondary research for creating insights for brand and category strategies. Conduct market research and competitive analyses to translate that research into creating fact-based selling directives with marketing leads.
- As part of professional development, will learn to develop revenue, cost of goods, and expense forecasts for marketing budgets. Generate reports and analytic-based insights from marketing programs launched and present recommendations for future initiatives and spend to management.
- Participate in the innovation pipeline, development and launch, which encompass the product, packaging, and customer communications for all private label and branded products. Partner with cross-functional teams (internal and external packaging, product management) in the development and execution of brand and product initiatives to ensure proper and timely customer communication.
- Project management and cross-functional team leadership to move projects forward on timely basis.
- Participate in developing and giving customer presentations as needed.
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree.
Relevant Work Experience
- Marketing experience.
- Experience communicating with various audiences in a business setting (ex. others with differing language, senior management and non-technical audiences).
- Experience prioritizing workload and scheduling effectively in order to meet deadlines.
- Microsoft Office working knowledge.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in product management, marketing, or other related business function.
- Experience collecting and analyzing data and presenting recommendations.
- Experience and skills in influencing, coordinating and working with individuals in multiple functional areas without direct authority.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$59,280.00 - $85,800.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
