Job Description
JOB SUMMARY Responsible for developing and enhancing existing or new software applications using various development languages. The Developer will work collaboratively in a team environment to develop, maintain and support applications used by an internal department or business users. Work with customers to produce technical solutions/requirements that drive value for the business area.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, document, develop, test and deliver software that meets customer requirements.
- Translate functional/business needs into technical requirements.
- Develop test plans, prepare test data, test and document results.
- Create and deliver documentation as necessary to ensure proper use of modified or new software.
- Support all deployed software, resolving any issues and improving performance in a timely manner.
- Adhere to and enforce all company standards related to software development including security, performance and resiliency standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field or business.
Certification / Licensure
- None required.
Work Experience
- College level courses for software development, computer science, business analysis, software design and testing.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Knowledge of applicable programming language and software development methodologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and support multiple users/platforms, as well as work prioritization and planning.
