Associate Attorney - Personal Injury Defense

Location: Kansas City, MO

A well-established legal firm in Kansas City, MO, is actively seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. This presents a remarkable opportunity for individuals aiming to advance their career in Personal Injury Defense.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a high-volume caseload of Personal Injury Defense cases
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide sound legal analysis
• Draft pleadings, motions, and various legal documents
• Attend court hearings and trials
• Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and legal staff to strategize case management

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide exceptional legal representation to clients
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Prepare for and actively participate in depositions and mediations
• Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure timely completion of tasks

Skills:

• Active membership in the Kansas or Missouri State Bar
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Personal Injury Defense (Plaintiff side experience considered)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player
• Proficient in legal research and writing
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
