About the Job
Project Partners is seeking an entry level Assistant Engineer with knowledge of public water systems to assist our public client in the Highland area. The position will be on-site and full-time (approximately 32-40 hours per week).
The Assistant Water Engineer duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with duties at the public counter, including answering questions for walk-in customers, phone calls, emails, and other departments and staff. May also include taking receipt of and initiating the processing of developer and customer submittals. Submittals will include engineering reports, plans, and permit documents.
- Enter information into the GIS system, including as-built information.
- Perform research and data gathering of technical datasets, historic information, and current projects to provide technical support and fulfill reporting requirements.
- Completes a variety of civil engineering calculations in support of projects and technical studies.
- Observe and comply with all mandated safety rules, regulations, and protocols.

The Assistant Water Engineer will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
- Required: knowledge of basic water facilities and infrastructure
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
- Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
