ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER

On-Site Position

Food/Medical Distribution company seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for the Freezer, Refrigerator and warehouse staff.  Must be focused, deadline oriented and excellent communication skills to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse.

Primary responsibilities outlined below as follows (but not limited too): 

• Enforce OSHA compliance and to assure an injury-free workplace
• Responsible for all aspects of hourly warehouse staff from hiring to termination, which includes staffing, development, supervision, and direction
• Responsible for establishing and enforcing operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory
• Developing new strategies, cycle counts and inventory management.
• Good supervisory, leadership and motivational skills
• Extended time on feet
• Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying and lifting (up to 80 lbs.)

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of warehouse, delivery, or distribution leadership experience
• Previous freezer experience
• Must be Forklift Operation Certified
• Must be able to lift 80+ pounds
