Position Summary
The job of Assistant Warehouse Manager was established for the purpose of providing support to the Warehouse Manager as well to all the warehouse staff. The Assistant Warehouse Manager provides supervisory and administrative support in the day-to-day management of the warehouse and operations. This position is responsible for safe product movement, inventory and service tasks as well as ensuring proper documentation and administration. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized, well-kept warehouse. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
- Meet regularly with warehouse and operations manager to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans
- Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of packages
- Ensure product is available for fulfillment of orders
- Check RF for wave/orders that have been assigned to individual
- Retain product knowledge and become back up support for counter and inside sales
- When required, make deliveries in a safe and timely manner while presenting a professional appearance
- Cross train and become functional and efficient in all aspects of the warehouse
- Work with corporate TRC on inventory control and inventory management
- Control processes and flow of the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
- Mediate any conflict that arises within the warehouse
- Coordinate with management on the performance evaluations for warehouse personnel
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required, some college-level coursework
preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and
abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift Certification (Required after hiring.)

- Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 lbs. and up to 25 lbs. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material.
Working Conditions and Environment
Requirements for this position are in a warehouse environment with the temperature dependent on the season. Receiving hours vary to meet our customers’ demands.
