We are hiring a Financial Operations Assistant Vice President to join our growing Gallagher Bassett Team!
- Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent, scalable processes to ensure accurate and timely billing based on contractual relationship with clients
- Ensure appropriate controls, procedures and escalations to allow for appropriate oversight and notification
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Executives and Finance groups to ensure controls are appropriately applied
- Ensure organizational delivery target dates are consistently being met
- Perform ad hoc analyses for operational and financial management and to support business needs
- Leadership/Managerial:
- Strong, proven leader with ability to grow and develop team
- Ability to drive ownership, urgency, accuracy, timeliness and a process improvement mindset across the team
- Strong managerial skills
- Ideally, manager of team for 5+ years
- Ideally, manager of managers (i.e., managed people who are managers of people)
- Strong, proven process improvement skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong Excel skills:
- Ability to work with large data sets
- Ability to utilize functions/formulas and other Excel mechanisms to build new and understand existing processes
- Communication skills:
- Ability to interact with clients, producers, account managers, external vendors and senior leadership throughout Gallagher Bassett
- Ability to interact with teams across Finance to ensure adherence to timeliness and quality standards
- Ability to interact with our Service Center team to ensure adherence to timeliness and quality standards
- Strong written communication skills
- Proven presentation skills
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years related experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred:
- Insurance or TPA (Third Party Administrator) background
- Understanding of Banking, Billing and Accounts Receivable processes
- Bachelor’s degree, with preference in analytical field such as Finance, Accounting, Math, or Economics
- MBA or related advanced degree a plus
