We are seeking an Assistant Vice President with a combination of REIT and SEC experience to join the Real Estate Systems Implementation Group (RESIG) practice, able to sit in our NYC, Long Island, or New Jersey offices. What Work You Will be Responsible For:

• Responsible for supervising training and reviewing the work of 2-3 Portfolio Accountants

• Build and maintain relationships with one or more clients, managing client expectations, and meeting all client deliverables

• Manage and review the daily accounting and financial reporting for REIT

• Prepare and review financial statements including but not limited to balance sheet, statement of investments, statement of operations, statement of cash flows

• Prepare and review general ledger and work paper files including capital activity, investment activity, income, and expense accruals, etc.

• Preparation and review of the day-to-day operations of the REIT

• Preparation of required monthly share class pricing

• Help manage year-end audit process and support external auditors and tax teams with requested financials

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field is required

• 5+ years of mortgage REIT experience

• Financial statement preparation experience - including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement

• Experience with NAV calculations, including management and performance fee calculations.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

• CPA, CFA or parts passed towards completion

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field

• Joint Venture/ Non controlling Interest experience

• Experience using Yardi including Debt module

• Loans (Mortgage, Mezzanine, Residential, etc.), B Notes, Tax Liens, MSRs, MBS
