Job Summary:The AVP of Operations is responsible for supervising the Health Home CMAs under the Vice President for Health Home. The incumbent is tasked with maximizing program outcomes for the assigned CMAs. Their main role is to lead and administer each CMA to ensure they meet health home standards and practices and maintain appropriate staffing levels for all care management agencies.
Responsibilities:- Administer and provide oversight of Health Home’s care management agencies, including billing and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Establish standards of quality care management practices.
- Oversee the operations and directly manage Director of Operations, Associate Directors, and Project Coordinator.
- Collaborate with the Associate Directors for Outreach and Enrollment and Business Development to develop new partnership leads for referral sources with the goal of recruiting members through community-based organizations and other public and private institutions.
- Ensure that there is an enrollment per month into the care management agencies and monitor and review trends on the distribution of caseload for HHSC & HHSA.
- Monitor billing activity and assist with problem resolution, including tracking of non-billable members, Medicaid expired and High risk/High need members.
- Lead team meetings and ensure ongoing training requirements are met in accordance with staff needs and Health Home requirements.
- Act as primary interface with lead Health Home personnel related to care management matters.
- Ensure coverage of all enrolled cases, including number of newly enrolled clients to determine hiring of additional staff.
- Review and enforce plans of corrective action in response to statements of deficiency with Vice President’s approval.
- Work with the Associate Directors for Outreach & Business Development to develop strategies to meet enrollment targets.
- Assist the Director of Operations with recruitment and hiring of care coordinators, managers and supervisors.
- Oversee the operations of HCBS, and other specialty programs (AOT & HH+) including billing and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in in-service training and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Health Home.
- MA, MS, MSW, DSW or PhD in a health-related field or
- 5 years’ experience overseeing human health services in a similar industry
- License preferred but not required (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC)
- Experience with Article31/Mental Health Outpatient Treatment Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS), 29i clinics, FQHC and Health Home Services preferred
- Knowledge of Health Home standards and practice preferred.
- Knowledge of Health Management and Social Service programs is a plus.
- Experienced with Microsoft 365 Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective multi-tasking and time management skills.
