About the Position
The Assistant to the Director enhances the Directors effectiveness by
providing management support and representing the Director to others.
This role is for an experienced self-starter with extensive exposure to
Maricopa County's department directors, executive management, staff,
and the general public.
About the Department
The Maricopa County Real Estate Department partners with various
departments and agencies to acquire space and improvements for County
personnel and land for infrastructure improvement projects maintains the
real property data on County-owned and leased facilities, and
acquires/leases/disposes of County real property. We are a team of
collaborative, results-driven professionals who are building a stronger

Job Contributions
- Represents the Director internally as a liaison between the Director
and department partners to ensure that work (valuation analysis and
lease abstracts) keeps moving forward in the Directors absence
- Conserves Directors time by reading, researching, routing
correspondence, drafting letters and documents, collecting and
analyzing information
- Completes various projects (e.g. Board of Supervisor linked agendas,
leadership agendas, and various departmental and divisional tasks)
and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining
priorities, managing time and the cooperation of others, monitoring
progress, problem-solving, and making necessary adjustments to plan
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping
information confidential
- Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing data/information
- Controls departments office inventory, which may require attaining a
Ghost or P Card and managing it in compliance with the Maricopa
County Procurement Code
- Coordinates meeting logistics, attends and/or participates in
meetings, takes minutes, and captures/distributes follow-up items
Working Conditions
- This position typically works in an office setting
