- Assists teacher with classroom responsibilities.
- Availability to work in a before and after school program, and summer programs.
- Before Care Hours are from 7:30am – 8:15am
- After Care Hours are from 3:05pm – 5:30pm
- Understanding and acclimating to the programs routine to assist teacher and provide classroom support, as well classroom coverage.
- Working with all students in the program to promote their learning and pro-social development.
ESSENTIALDUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following.
- Supports in maintaining an attractive and child-oriented classroom environment.
- Contributes to classroom planning and organization.
- Maintains confidentiality of students and parents
- Attends school functions and trainings as required and requested.
- Communicates openly with parents, staff, and children, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Directsparentalconcernsandinformationrelativetochildren'sprogresstoteacher.
- Provides discipline according to program philosophy.
- Maintains constant supervision of children.
- Complete 12 hours of continuing staff development each year, including annual orientation training.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable provisions of the NJ Manual of requirements for Child Care Centers
- Other duties may be assigned.

OTHERJOBREQUIREMENTS:
- Must complete Child Abuse Record Information Background Check.
- Must complete a Criminal History Record Information Background Check.
- Must Complete a Mandated 10 hour Health and Safety Training
- Working knowledgeof Microsoft Office preferred and Internet Applications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must Have one of the following
- High School Diploma
- Child Associate Development Certificate Preferred
- AA in Early Childhood
- Para Pro Certificate
- PEDIATRIC/CPR First Aide Certified
