Assistant Teacher Salary: $15.50 - 17.00 per hour
Assistant Teacher Hours:12:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:
- Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
- Leading age appropriate activities for children ages 6 months - 4 years
- Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
- Building strong relationships with the parents
- Interacting with children, supporting classroom and lead teacher
Assistant Teacher Qualifications:
- Have 2+ years of experience working with children - this can be professional, volunteer, or familial (babysitting, etc.)
- Are a high school graduate. College credits in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Sub Certificate preferred
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Can be trained in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)
