Job DescriptionVertex has a great opportunity for an Assistant Superintendent to cover interesting projects in the Denver area. These are your classic 8-week projects in the range of $150-$200K.
The ideal candidate will have experience in tenant improvement and restoration projects, with a strong focus on managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent in overseeing tenant improvement and restoration projects from inception to completion.
- Supervise and coordinate on-site activities, including subcontractors and trades, to ensure work is performed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Monitor project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Enforce safety protocols on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications and building codes.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve any issues that arise.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, and change orders.
- Support in managing materials, equipment, and labor resources on-site.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Assist with punch list items and final project closeout to ensure client satisfaction.
- This position requires frequent travel.
- 1+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on tenant improvement and/or restoration projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred, however relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Additional Information
The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $90,000 per year.
