Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of high-rise multifamily buildings, apartments, condos, townhomes, hotels, hospitality, and commercial properties. You will be working closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure successful project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, trades, and suppliers
- Ensure that all work is completed according to the project schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Manage and maintain a safe and organized job site, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
- Communicate effectively with the project team, including the Superintendent, Project Manager, and other stakeholders
- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and project requirements
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process
- Monitor and track project progress, including budget and schedule, and provide regular updates to the project team
- Assist with the coordination of inspections and testing, ensuring that all work meets the required standards
- Participate in project meetings, providing input and recommendations as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on high-rise multifamily buildings, apartments, condos, townhomes, hotels, hospitality, and commercial properties
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as building codes and regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required
