We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Assistant Superintendent for Commercial-Industrial Construction to join our dynamic team. This role is an incredible opportunity to be an integral part of our operations, overseeing various commercial and industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will have a passion for construction, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to effectively manage and supervise all aspects of construction projects. You will be working closely with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and other professionals in the industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all phases of the construction project from initial planning to completion.
2. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
3. Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction teams, subcontractors, and laborers.
4. Monitor project progress, handle any issues that arise, and keep stakeholders informed of project status.
5. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that work is proceeding on schedule and meeting specified standards.
6. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists.
7. Resolve any problems that may arise and ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.
8. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the project’s design, budget, and schedule.
9. Manage and mitigate project risks and issues.
10. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction management, with a focus on multi-family, healthcare, and higher education projects.
2. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
3. Proven ability to manage and supervise large construction projects.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Strong understanding of safety and building codes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
10. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.
