Responsibilities
LLE is looking for an assistant scientist to support experiments for pulsed-laser, material-interaction investigations. Candidate must have a understanding of laser diagnostics and plasma diagnostics, hands-on knowledge of the inner workings of diagnostic equipment, and a grasp of the state-of-the-art in the field of time-resolved and spatially resolved diagnostics. Hands-on experience developing and deploying diagnostics and diagnostic equipment in laboratory settings is desired. A physics background in laser-material-plasma interactions is desired. Applicant must have experience interacting and working with multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers to accomplish complex goals. Candidate should have a Ph.D. in Physics or a physical science and be a highly motivated self-starter.

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $82,500 - $110,000
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
