Position Overview
As the Assistant Sales Manager, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between sales and dispatch. You will handle day-to-day activities such as partnering with the sales manager, dispatching comfort advisors, speaking with customers, reviewing financial situation and assisting with consumer financing.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible ensuring the residential sales team achieves daily sales revenue goals.
- Facilitate, track, and evaluate the daily, weekly and monthly sales performance & adherence to process
- Work in conjunction with the Sales Manager and marketing team to develop promotions of new programs, business planning, enforcement and maintain a strong off-peak workload.
- Assist tracking of Residential Sales commissions and spiffs. This includes outside as well as inside sales.
- Participation in sales training, M&A training and overviews of a new sales team
- Create and maintain all items in the company sales software.
- Schedule and dispatch sales reps to appointments to maximize every opportunity.
- Help consumers with financing and utility rebates paperwork to ensure that all relevant documents are signed and approved prior to the start of work.
- Obtain all relevant job information from sales reps to ensure that operations will have everything they need to order the correct materials and schedule the job.
Performance Metrics
- Time between sale and job being ready to install
- Number of appointments scheduled
- 100% of jobs provided to operations with all relevant information.
- % of appointments requiring a return visit to collet information
- Increase off peak workload and close rate.
- KPI's are subject to change
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience (3+ years) in residential sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Prior experience in the home services industry is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team.

Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
- Evening and/or early morning, and/or weekend or holiday hours periodically
- Will work both indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold to very hot and humid
