Assistant Region Manager - AmeriPark
San Jose, CA
About the Job
We are currently holding interviews for a working Valet District Manager that thrives on developing all-stars and has the ambition to see each job through to completion.
The NorCal District Manager will oversee 5-6 Northern California accounts, and will be based out of Santana Row in San Jose where they will work as a Valet Account Manager approximately 50-60% of their weekly schedule. Our top candidates will be experienced Account Managers, Assistant Regional Managers or District Managers with backgrounds in the parking industry (highly preferred), or with impressive and involved resumes in hotel, restaurant, retail or other hospitality industries. Customer service and hospitality are the primary drivers of everything we do as our mission statement, "Winning through Service", would suggest. Therefore, we need a STRONG guest relations superstar with a proven track record of team development, whether from the ground up (such as new accounts) or in developing and growing teams through learning, involvement and promotion.
We are obsessed with creating a learning culture where our people are developed into brighter and greater associates at every level, constantly evaluating where opportunities exist and where gaps can be filled. We promote from within when the internal candidate is the best candidate for the job, so the District Manager will be tasked with training and developing leaders from our current staff, recruiting quality candidates for openings throughout the western region, and focusing on the highest level of operational compliance and profitability. The client of each location this position oversees will feel that they have instant access to and excellent communication with the person filling this role.
This is a highly visible and strategic position that requires constant face-time with different teams at each property, and the ability to quickly adapt standardized processes and procedures to the changing environments that exist at each location while retaining a focus on quality, safety and profitability.
Your success will be based on your ability to navigate your priorities around day-to-day tasks. Prioritizing approximately 70-80% of your time toward working shifts as the manager on duty at the accounts you oversee, you will lead by example from the simplest of tasks to the highest level property management duties. While focusing the other fraction of your time on administrative duties and meetings, your team will be encouraged by your example and will carry the torch when you are absent from the schedule. Dropping in for unannounced visits will ensure integrity and a quality operation, and will make the best use of your time on property outside of working a scheduled shift.
