We are looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) team-oriented, reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to oversee our HUD public housing properties. What we offer:

The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for a wide range of duties including: managing the rental application process; ensuring compliance with HUD guidelines andFair Housing laws; adhering to Housing First principles and ShelterCare policies and procedures; tracking information and documents in Property Management software for Masterleases and other assigned properties; responding to community and participant complaints and grievances; issuing notices for lease violations; supervising and performing unit entries and inspections; coordinating maintenance and repairs. The Property Management Team is passionate about providing high-quality housing and support to
our residents. The Assistant Property Manager works to ensure that management and services are
provided through a trauma-informed lens. This position will provide daily interaction and support for ShelterCare's clients. ShelterCare provides services to individuals that have a history of homelessness and mental illness.
The starting hourly wage for this position is $21.53 to $23.63, depending on a number of factors.
ABOUT SHELTERCARE
ShelterCare is a social services agency that is directed by a board of community volunteers. We have multiple programs in the Eugene/Springfield area. We offer a range of housing solutions combined with wraparound services for families and community members who are experiencing homelessness, on the verge of becoming homeless and have a serious mental illness. Because of the variety of services we offer, we are able to help many people in our community.

Qualifications
At least one year experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Essential Skills
Effective communication, negotiation and collaboration; scheduling and time management; leadership, risk management, critical thinking and problem solving; use of technology for email, spreadsheets, documents, etc; ability to handle confidential material and maintain security of documents; must be eligible to drive ShelterCare vehicles. Must pass an Oregon criminal background check.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain at a desk for a period of up to 8 hours; The ability to climb stairs; The ability to life up to 50 lbs., on occasion.
