Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65k – $75k
Position Overview:
The Assistant Property Manager will assist the Property Manager with day to day operations of their assigned property.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager:
- Assist in managing daily operations, including property inspections, maintenance coordination, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of facilities.
- Support leasing efforts, handle lease administration, and maintain strong relationships with tenants by addressing requests, resolving issues, and promoting retention strategies.
- Help prepare budgets and financial reports, oversee rent collections and lease compliance, maintain tenant records, and track property performance metrics.
- Assist in advertising available units, promoting properties across platforms, and supporting community events to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure compliance with safety codes, Fair Housing laws, and property regulations, assist in managing resident disputes, and enforce lease terms, including legal actions when necessary.
Qualifications of the Assistant Property Manager:
- 2-4+ years of multi-family property management experience required.
- Assistance with financial management experience required.
- Mixed use experience with retail or commercial space is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive problem solver with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.
- Confidence to ask questions, seek clarification, and challenge assumptions.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
