We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Project Manager for Multi-Family Renovations in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-family construction, renovations, and remodels, with a particular focus on low-income housing. This role requires a deep understanding of water and asbestos abatement, project management principles, and excellent bilingual communication skills.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in our multi-family renovation projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in the planning and coordination of multi-family renovation projects, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
2. Collaborating with project stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
3. Overseeing water and asbestos abatement procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
4. Providing effective bilingual communication across all levels of the project team, facilitating clear and concise communication between diverse teams.
5. Monitoring project progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
6. Preparing and presenting project updates to various stakeholders, including team members, managers, and clients.
7. Ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained in all aspects of work.
8. Developing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-family construction, renovations, and remodels, preferably with a focus on low-income housing.
2. Proven experience in project management, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
3. Extensive knowledge of water and asbestos abatement procedures, including safety and regulatory standards.
4. Excellent bilingual communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
6. A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain quality standards across all aspects of work.
7. Proficiency in the use of project management software and tools.
8. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
