Are you looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity in the construction industry? We are seeking a Project Engineer, also known as an Assistant Project Manager, Construction Engineer, Field Engineer, or Site Engineer, to join our team. Do you want to assist the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Estimator throughout specific construction projects? If so, this role might be perfect for you!
The main focus of this position is to learn the processes and procedures at MBC and gain a general understanding of the steps involved in a project from bid to job close-out. Would you like to work at a job site or in the main office?

As a Project Engineer, you will keep records of all drawings and updates, record accurate and complete meeting minutes, and distribute information, drawings, and meeting minutes to all necessary parties in a timely manner. Can you handle receiving, reviewing, logging, tracking, and scheduling on-site material deliveries? Are you ready to develop and nurture client relations?
In terms of project engineering, you will provide project photo documentation, receive, review, log, track, and distribute RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and daily reports in the project management software. Ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures is crucial. Are you prepared to attend and document project-specific walk-throughs with subcontractors, architects, or clients? Can you create, review, track, and distribute punch list items to subcontractors and verify completion? Additionally, you will assist with pre-drywall checklists, completion lists, and pre-punch list creation and distribution, execute project close-out documentation, coordinate site permits and subcontractors, assist with material procurement and coordination of change orders, and meet regularly with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Estimator to report progress and concerns. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Do you have basic computer abilities and an understanding of the construction industry? This is an entry-level position, so 0-3 years of experience in a Project Engineer role is expected. Do you have strong interpersonal, organizational, task management, group speaking, business writing, communication, and analytical skills?
