Position: Assistant Project Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: The Assistant Project Manager collaborates with stakeholders to understand project needs and goals. They assist in planning and implementing projects, ensuring that work progresses on schedule and within budget.
- Regulatory Compliance: They review design drawings to ensure compliance with regulations, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Field Operations Support: The Assistant Project Manager provides guidance and expertise to field operations and engineering teams. They manage project schedules and manpower planning forecasts.
- Customer Interaction: They interface with customers, including contractors and end users.
- Change Orders and Quality Control: The Assistant Project Manager estimates and proposes change orders when necessary. They focus on quality and efficient job progress.
- Administrative Tasks: This role involves administrative duties such as setting up meetings, drafting invoices, and maintaining project documents.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Customer-Focused: The Assistant Project Manager should prioritize client satisfaction.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to manage job scheduling, progress, and issue resolution.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial video, security, and access control systems, as well as an understanding of data and IT industry practices.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and NEC code requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Experience: 2-4 years in commercial video, security, and access control systems, with 1-2 years as a project manager in the security industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of NEC code requirements.
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of travel to job sites and sitting while working on a computer.
