Assistant Project Manager - PACE Supply

PACE Supply, a leading distributor of plumbing, HVAC, and waterworks products, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our thriving Finish Division team!

This crucial role offers the exciting opportunity to work from any of our locations, while playing a key part in our organization. You'll leverage your strong administrative skills and exceptional multitasking abilities to manage workflow effectively, all while maintaining focus amidst distractions.

Prior knowledge of Plumbing Finish and Fixtures is a plus, but a passion for exceeding customer expectations with exceptional service is a must!

The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Finish Division team by managing various administrative tasks and independently handling logistics and operations for project coordination. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting Project Managers with daily logistics and operations as needed.
• Independently managing the administrative aspects of coordinating product for projects.
• Resolving day-to-day issues and ensuring timelines are met.
• Scheduling deliveries and returns, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Coordinating purchasing and returning products as necessary.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with PACE clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Working closely with vendors, manufacturers, and their representatives to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
• Handling various administrative tasks, such as documentation, filing, and record-keeping, to support project activities.
• Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth project operations.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

In this role, you will work within a team and independently to ensure the successful completion of projects, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Finish Division at PACE Supply.

• Demonstrated reliability, exceptional organizational skills, and acute attention to detail, accompanied by strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively under deadlines, adeptly prioritizing tasks to meet clients' needs.
• Dedication to delivering excellent customer service, always ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in time management, efficiently handling responsibilities within specified timeframes.
• Aptitude for collaborative work, fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders across various levels within the company, as well as external interactions with customers and manufacturers.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, utilizing these tools effectively to enhance productivity and communication.

Minimum Education: 

• Highschool Diploma

Minimum Work Experience and Skills: 

• Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and reading skills.
• Dedication to delivering excellent customer service, always ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in time management, efficiently handling responsibilities within specified timeframes.
• Aptitude for collaborative work, fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders across various levels within the company, as well as external interactions with customers and manufacturers.

Ideal Education:

• Associates Degree or Higher.

Ideal Work Experience and Skills:

• 0-3 years sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Plumbing knowledge a plus.
• A desire to learn with a drive to succeed.
• Work in a wholesale distribution environment and be familiar with how things move through the process.
• Demonstrated reliability, exceptional organizational skills, and acute attention to detail, accompanied by strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively under deadlines, adeptly prioritizing tasks to meet clients' needs.
