Morton Construction seeks an Assistant Project Manager to spearhead the efforts of commercial construction projects from commencement to completion. Based in Roswell, GA, Morton Construction is a highly regarded commercial general contractor that focuses on delivering an exceptionally completed project constructed in budget and on time. Responsibilities:
- Work together with a Project Manager to complete assigned projects on schedule and in budget
- Manage all pertinent project documentation and communication
- Administer all subcontractor commitments and payment applications
- Prepare, update, and distribute project schedules and assignments
- Issue contracts, letters of intent, purchase orders, subcontracts and related documentation
- Draft, submit, distribute, and track RFI's, submittals, and change orders as required
- Place and monitor all material, equipment, and fixture orders for each assigned project
- Effective verbal and written communication with clients, Field Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and all related stakeholders to an assigned project
- Manages calendar(s) / schedules, meetings, and shared databases
- Coordinates weekly meetings, reporting, and logistics for their assigned projects
- Controls the close-out procedures and documentation for every assigned projects
- Maintain and Track Subcontractor/Vendor Documentation – Certificate of Insurance, W-9's, Master Contracts.
- Assist with the marketing goals of the company as needed
- Assist with estimating and pre-construction processes as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of relevant experience required
- Must be internally motivated with a proven ability to work on projects with limited supervision
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage time across multiple tasks working individually and as a team member
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
- Familiarity and fluency with Procore or similar construction software
- Ability to read, understand, and complete take-offs from construction drawings
- Team player, willing to take on additional tasks as needed
