Overview:
JCM Associates, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Engineer and/or Assistant Project Manager. This position is for full time commercial construction projects in the MD, VA, and DC area.

Our main office and fabrication facilities are in Upper Marlboro, MD - located just 20 minutes from DC. We provide wellness programs and an in-house gym as well as many social functions throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in project management duties and support project team.
- Document Management (RFI, Drawings, Specifications, Submittals, Tracking Logs, Correspondence,)
- Assist with BIM Coordination oversight and management
- Assist with review of subcontractor scopes, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Assist with Subcontractor Management
- Assist with Project Buyout, Invoicing and Accounting
- Change Proposal Preparation
- Equipment and Material Management
- Assist with Fabrication Process Management
- Field Walks and Site Visits
- Adhering to Standard Safety Protocols
- Assist with Commissioning & Start up planning management
- Closeout Management
Minimum Skills/Requirements:
- Four-year degree or equivalent training and experience.
- Construction industry experience and knowledge including basic terminology.
- Proficient computer software skills (e.g., spreadsheets, scheduling, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organized with proficient time management skills.
Bonus Skills/Qualifications:
- HVAC and/or Plumbing systems knowledge
- Procore Proficiency
- Accounting Software Familiarity (Acumatica)
- Bluebeam Software
- BIM Software (CADD, Revit, etc)
- Blueprint Reading
- OSHA 10/30
