Key Responsibilities:
Will work as a key member of the PSS Run department and is responsible for supporting the defect and enhancement changes to support the running of SHARES. Provide support to Project Managers as needed, this would include managing the project plan to make sure work is on budget and on schedule, as well as requirements and status reports for internal projects, as well as corporate objectives and mandates. The person will recommend enhancements of existing tools and lead the effort to implement the incorporation of new automation and support tools.
SHARES is the Passenger Service Systems (PSS) and consists of a mainframe computer that encompasses a reservation system, inventory system and a departure control system. Overall, it is the heart of an airline and connects all the pieces of a passenger’s trip, including Passenger Name Record (PNR) servicing, scheduling, ticketing, booking, seating, check-in, bags, and all flight and passenger data. This position will be key to ensuring these systems run without interruption.
- Play a key role in the planning, scheduling, and communication for development work. Translate project objectives (given at an enterprise level as well as those set within the PSS division) into detailed project plans.
- Work closely with our business partners, Industry specialists, and mainframe personnel to coordinate fixes and deployments.
- Work closely with our business and development partners to gather, organize and validate requirements for requested enhancements to SHARES programs. Schedule and coordinate activities and communications for the team.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues with would present a risk to on-time implementations and bring up major problems to management for resolution.
- Provide post-event reports, analysis, and status reports.
- Assist with problem research of production tickets as needed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of airline experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Project management
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of this position
