We are now hiring an Assistant Project Manager II! This position will report to Project Management. The APM II is responsible for supporting the Project Management team on planning and facilitation of project(s).
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets under the direction of the project manager
- Coordinate and communicate project activities with team members, stakeholders, and vendors
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop RFIs and supporting documentation under the direction of the project manager
- Assist in leading of project meetings and document meeting minutes
- Monitor project progress and provide status updates to the project manager and stakeholders
- Manage project documents and maintain project files
- Assist in training the junior project management staff
- Other duties as assigned by the project manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Some college coursework completed. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to the construction industry; 2-4 years experience in construction
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly adaptable and flexible with ability to work independently and/ or team environment
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
- Strong organization, record-keeping and follow-up skills.
- Ability to read and understand Civil Plans and understand complex project deliverables via jobsite visit.
- Ability to understand written procedures, write routine documents, speak clearly, and understand multi-step written and oral instructions in English.
- Must demonstrate good attendance and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Must have a valid CA Driver’s License and good driving record.
Pay range: $23.00 - $30.00/hr depending on experience
