Project Manager - Estimator
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our project team, assisting with project documentation, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision. Success in this role hinges on the ability to handle multiple tasks requiring diverse skills, while effectively prioritizing their completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- 1 + years' of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager
- Strong experience in AutoCad and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Close vision, and color vision ability required
- Safely and effectively lifting, carrying, and moving objects of varying weights
- Bending, stooping, reaching, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods and maintaining the necessary physical dexterity and coordination
- Working in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, and noise levels at times
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing & estimating all facets of current & future electrical, commercial, utility & industrial projects
- Plan, oversee and direct all projects for construction.
- Ability to utilize MS Office, or Bid / Estimating software - preferred
- Learn how to develop project budgets and tracking costs according to contractual obligations
- Create & maintain project schedules and their respective progress
- Review and study all documents including estimates, design drawings, specifications, customer proposals and contracts as well as, change order proposals and tracking
- Work with all project team members to make decisions and recommendations to ensure highest quality, profitability, and optimal outcome of projects
- Coordinate projects with customers, subcontractors & fellow team managers
- Disseminate relevant information to various departments related to the project
- Work with customers in a professional and collaborative manner
- Prepare & present proposals for new projects
- Maintain constant, direct communication & collaboration with teams
- Utilize CAD knowledge
