Position Overview:
As an Assistant Project Manager in commercial construction, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for providing critical support throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in coordinating all aspects of commercial construction projects from initiation to completion. This includes collaborating with various stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, budgets, schedules, and progress reports. Ensure that all documents are organized, up-to-date, and readily accessible to the project team.

Budget and Cost Control: Support the Project Manager in monitoring project budgets and costs. Contribute to cost estimation, budget forecasts, and variance analysis, identifying areas for cost optimization without compromising quality.

Schedule Management: Assist in creating and updating project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables. Monitor progress against the schedule and proactively address potential delays.

Quality Assurance: Work with the Project Manager to enforce strict quality control procedures throughout the construction process. Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.

Procurement and Vendor Management: Assist in sourcing and managing subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors. Collaborate with procurement teams to secure necessary materials and services within project timelines.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project timelines and budgets. Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

Safety Compliance: Uphold a strong commitment to safety on the construction site. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce best practices to protect the well-being of all personnel involved in the project.

Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and updates on project progress. Foster positive relationships and demonstrate a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role in commercial construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Knowledge of construction laws, codes, and regulations.
