We are currently searching for a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Sheet Metal) to join our fast-paced construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging commercial construction projects and contribute to our company's success. The chosen candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of all aspects of commercial sheet metal projects, from planning and development to execution and completion.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Sheet Metal), you will:
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in all areas with regards to paperwork on all of our construction sheet metal projects. This will include managing budgets and timeline, cost tracking and ensuring contract compliance. The following are some of the skills required to be successful in this position:
Work with vendors on material deliveries - estimated dates versus requirement dates
Handles quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Control the Submittal process; control and distribution of Requests for Information (RFIs)
Review of plans, specs and contracts
Maintain project reports
Project close-out processes to include issuance of warranties
Prepare or assist with preparation of standard reports, contracts, and forms like job binders
Creating project timelines and schedules
Experience in construction project tracking and estimates
Advanced skills in reading blueprints, specifications, drawings, plans
Experience in Timberline software is a Big Plus
Strong communication skills
Three years or more experience in the construction sheet metal field
Skills in preparing progress reports and presentations
Experience working in project documentation and communication
