We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Engineer to join our growing team in the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a strong background in construction and project engineering, who is passionate about managing and implementing construction projects from start to finish. The chosen candidate will be responsible for tracking and coordinating project activities, ensuring that projects are executed within the specified time frame and budget, and maintaining quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and is ready to take their career to the next level.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and coordinate all project engineering activities to ensure project execution within the set time frame and budget.
2. Prepare, review, and approve RFIs, RFI responses, and submittals.
3. Track and monitor project progress, identify any issues or delays, and propose solutions to keep the project on track.
4. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure all parties are on the same page and working toward the same goal.
5. Handle change orders, including reviewing, negotiating, and approving changes.
6. Ensure all project activities are in compliance with company and industry standards and regulations.
7. Participate in project meetings, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues raised.
8. Liaise with clients, responding to their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
9. Prepare project reports and documentation, ensuring all data and information are accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
4. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
7. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Experience working with general contractors, handling RFIs, RFI responses, change orders, and submittals.
10. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.
