Assistant Project Manager – General Contracting Division – Carpentry Department
We have an immediate need for a Construction Assistant Project Manager for new construction in our General Contracting Division - Carpentry Department to be based out of our Canton, GA office location.
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for working with Project Managers and helping them organize the planning, execution, and successful delivery of diverse and complex construction endeavors.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist in managing and estimating (material take offs) construction projects
- Assist in the handling of permitting needs
- Assist in site supervision and material courier when necessary
- Understand project documents and scope
- Assist in management of projects
- Assist in closing out projects
- Assist in overall coordination for project manager

What You Bring:
- Good communication skills, effective communication with clients, subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Solid computer skills including in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power-Point).
- Ability to modify PDFs.
- Ability to develop Excel formulas, V-Lookups and creating pivot tables.
- Solid organizational skills.
- 2-3 years of construction experience or education in the construction industry a must; experience with a GC is preferred.
- Clean driving record (no violation in the last 3 years).
- Fast learner, in a fast-paced environment.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be willing to travel 3 days per week for site visits (home every / most weekends).
