We're a nationally ranked General Contractor based in Austin, TX with 50+ years of establishment specializing in building a wide-variety of large scale projects that include Class A Corporate Offices, Education & Higher Ed, Healthcare, Multifamily/Mixed-Use, Commercial, and Hospitality projects throughout numerous states.
We're looking to make a long-term addition to the team by adding an Assistant Project Manager.
For reference, upcoming projects include a large Corporate Office Building in South Texas and an 800-bed County Jail in Midland, TX.

This role involves working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of our projects. The ideal candidate will This position requires a minimum of 2+ years of direct industry experience working for a GC and is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a high-energy environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Project Manager in planning, managing and delivering construction projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
2. Work collaboratively with the project team to define the project scope, goals, and deliverables.
3. Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure effective communication
and project execution.
4. Manage project documentation, including contracts, plans, and reports, ensuring all are kept up-to-date and are in compliance with
company standards and legal regulations.
5. Monitor project progress, handle any issues that arise, and report updates to the Project Manager regularly.
6. Conduct risk assessments for potential projects, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions when necessary.
7. Participate in project meetings and host project update meetings to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
8. Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing materials and services, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier
relationships.
9. Ensure all project work is completed in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
10. Willingness to travel to projects throughout TX as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2+ years of experience working for a General Contractor on ground-up projects.
3. Proven track record of successfully assisting in the management and delivery of construction projects.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
6. High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
9. An understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
10. Relevant certifications in project management or construction management would be advantageous.
