- Assisting the Project Manager in planning, managing, and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with the project's quality standards.
- Coordinating and supervising the activities of the project team and subcontractors to ensure tasks are being completed as planned.
- Participating in the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and contracts.
- Monitoring the progress of the project, identifying any issues or delays, and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Participating in project meetings and providing regular updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Assisting in the resolution of any conflicts or disputes that arise during the project.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Project Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in commercial construction, ground-up, and tenant improvement projects.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in construction project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications such as Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, OST
- A thorough understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different project sites as needed.
